Large Spiders are agressive mobs that one can sometimes stumble across when traveling in the eastern woods of Upper Plains or (somewhat more common) in the Black Forest. While general roamers in those zones, they are somewhat quicker than other mobs and are not creatures to fight in your very first hour. Interestingly, they always have some good copper coins for loot.
